Our CCDP home has 14 underprivileged children from various parts of Nepal who are studying in various schools of Pokhara. They have different backgrounds and come from different kinds of family yet are living together as a family and receiving education.
Odhare is a village about two hours away from Pokhara in the Tanahun district,about 32 families are living there with 20 children supported by CCDP (two of themare living in the Children’s Home). One boy Chandra from Odharehas now completed hisschooling and management exams and is working as a volunteer in CCDP 2 hours a day as a home teacher. In our previous newsletter we spoke about our plans to build another house in Odhare Village. This house is now completed. It has a study room, a room for the staff, and a kitchen/dining room. From the last four months NabarajGiri a CCDP staff has started to live inOdhare and handle all the works of that area.He gives daily tuition class to the CCDP supported children in Odhare and looks after the CCDP land there and coordinatingthe work in the wider Tanahun District where there are currently 73 CCDP supported children.
